The Crab Stitch, or reverse single crochet, is simply a single crochet stitch worked left to right instead of right to left. This creates a really interesting edge to your work. Crab stitch can be used as a border for almost any project. I love to use it with a contrasting color to create a really finished look to my work.
To form the crab stitch: start your row by chaining 1. Insert your hook into the stitch on the right of your hook.
Grab your working yarn and pull up a loop. It might feel like its a bit twisted at first, but its supposed to be like that!
Yarn over and pull through both loops, same as when you complete a regular single crochet.
Repeat as needed for your pattern.
