I love using stitch dictionaries to learn new stitches and get ideas for patterns. I’m lucky that my library has a good selection of crochet books so I’ve been able to try out a few before purchasing them. I definitely recommend checking out your local library as a resource for stitch dictionaries and pattern books. I’m currently working my way through Melissa Leapmans’ Indispensable Stitch Collection for Crocheters. I tried the Embossed Fishnet Pattern and thought it would work great for a coffee cup cozy.
You’ll need two colors for this project. I chose Navy and White, because I think they give it a wintery, festive vibe. I’ve also made them with red and white for a more christmasy feel.
This pattern is worked in the round, switching colors every few rounds. I carry the yarn up as I go.
The completed dimensions are 3″ tall and 9″ around. They will fit any standard coffee cup, both hot or iced (if you’re like me and drink iced coffee regardless of the weather!).
